For the special issue of the Design Museum's Magazine on diversity in design, LLM Design reimagined the magazine’s visual approach from cover to cover. We organized content highlighting designers from underrepresented communities into thematic categories with vibrant color coding. Each theme included unique profiles, case studies, essays, and interviews, all aligned with the magazine's creative direction. Activity pages after each chapter encouraged readers to engage with the subject matter through thoughtful exercises. For the cover design, we aimed for the artwork to be the main focus with minimal text. After exploring various concepts, we opted for a dynamic, moving scan of a skin tone palette grid, capturing the complexity of the topic through ever-changing colors and patterns.
